Halloween.

It's Halloween! It's Halloween! The moon is full and bright/ And we shall see what can't be seen On any other night. Skeletons and ghosts and ghouls, Grinning goblins fighting duels/ Werewolves rising from their tombs, Witches on their magic brooms/ In masks and gown we haunt the street /And knock on doors for trick or treat/ Tonight we are the king and queen, For oh tonight it's Halloween! -Jack Prelutsky

The Jack-O-Lantern me and my roommate carved!

Me and my decorated door! We had to decorate for the college-aged trick-or-treaters!

Me and one of my very best friends!

I love Halloween! My original costume was Hannah Montana, but it just was not working out so I went Native American.  Can you believe I found EVERYTHING at WalMart and D.I.? So fun. I hope you are all having the spookiest, exciting holiday!

Reunions.

On Saturday, I pulled off a reunion for my freshman floor! I planned it and organized it, and we all just met in the park and had a potluck luncheon. It was SO successful. I think 28 out of the 40 girls showed up.. that is impressive. We love each other. Here are just a few pictures from the event! I am loving every minute of BYU.

Last Wednesday we had a little get together of old Magnolia friends that are up here at BYU, not many of us were there, however it was still fun. I decided it was the perfect opportunity to make something delicious and creative (Who have I become? I LOVE to bake now!). And here is my creation! It is a bunch of cupcakes just frosted all together. So fun to pull apart and eat!

Recreation.

I love BYU Football! The game this Saturday was against New Mexico and we won 21 to 3! Before this game we were ranked 9th, I don't know what we are now but it is amazing! It has been an exciting season.  The BYU team will be in Texas playing TCU on the 15th! Of course, as a group of girls, we spent more time taking pictures than actually watching the football. Here are just a few!
It's another Cougar... FIRST DOWN. RAWRAR!

I am so blessed! Even though it is freezing here, I live in a beautiful place on a beautiful campus.

Indulgences.

So, I created this blog to show my wonderful parents what is going on in my life at Brigham Young University, however anyone (who is not a creeper) is more than welcome to read it!

Last weekend was General Conference for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  It is a wonderful weekend full of four (or five, if you are a guy) two-hour sessions of talks from our beloved leaders.  Not only do we get encouraged and strengthened, we get a lazy weekend to watch it on our TVs (or laptops in my case) and enjoy ourselves.

Back home, my dad has a tradition of going out for ice cream after the men attend the priesthood session on Saturday night.  I decided that, although I am a girl, I could participate in this wonderful idea. Who doesn't love sweets? So I spent Friday and Saturday absolutely immaculatizing my apartment and baking and making all sorts of sweet treats, and invited my entire ward (plus some friends) over after the Saturday night session.  It was quite the success! Probably 80-100 people came and went at some point in the night, and some wonderful people contributed to the collection of desserts.

Here are some of the desserts I made myself:

Mom, you would be so proud, here is my magazine-clean apartment.

Anyway, it was a great way to re-meet a lot of my ward and to eat with friends. I think I will make it a tradition! I think the funniest part of the night was the fact that boys continuously would leave with handfuls of homemade chocolate pretzels.  I am somewhat famous because of those now, and they were the easiest thing I made!
